The Beatles Songtrack 1964 is a Beatles compilation album compiled by C.Syde65. It was burnt in 2012. It is not an official Beatles album and thus can not be bought.
This 2-disc compilation album includes all of The Beatles' songs recorded and released in 1964. This includes all the songs from their 1964 LPs - A Hard Day's Night [UK] and Beatles for Sale - along with the six tracks from the Past Masters compilation that were recorded and released the same year.
The "no pause between tracks" box was ticked, to prevent the Nero Express Essentials software from adding 2 second pauses between tracks, to free up more space on the CD - not that there was enough space to fit 17 and 16 songs on the first and second discs respectively anyway.
While I seem to recall burning this compilation to disc in 2012, it could have been burnt in 2011 instead. If I am right to assume that it was 2012, then I made sure that the "normalise all audio files" box was ticked, to set the volume of all the tracks to a standard volume - not that there really was any point, all the tracks were re-mastered in 2009, so the odds are that they would all have been at the same volume anyway.
Initially going unnoticed, there was apparently enough space to fit all the songs on to one disc. If I had realised this, I would have decided against it, seeing as I wanted to make it seem more like a double disc studio album than a single disc compilation album.
I actually considered making "I'm Happy Just to Dance with You" and "I Should Have Known Better" appear as the 3rd and 5th tracks on the album respectively, to make the track listing seem different from the track listing used in A Hard Day's Night, but I decided against it because it would be tougher adapting to a new track listing order, in addition to making "Can't Buy Me Love" appear as the opening track.
