Summary

The Rubik's Cube (GUOS65144) is an item from the dimensional era of the Gothic Universe of Shapes series. It was created on the 9th, 13th, 15th, 20th, and 21st July 2018 using Faber Castell Watercolour Pencils, Lead Pencils, and Felt Pens, an Artline 204 Faxblac 0.4 Black Pen, Microsoft Paint, Paint 3D, Paint.NET, GIMP, and Microsoft Excel 2010.

It was not created using auto-shapes, being drawn and edited outside Microsoft Excel, except for some shadow effects. The Rubik's Cube is the seventeenth shape to be completed using Microsoft Excel 2010, instead of Microsoft Excel 2007, and the twenty-third shape to be drawn and edited outside Microsoft Excel, without using Adobe Photoshop CS4.

The Rubik's Cube was also the twenty-third shape to use effects from Paint 3-D, although the effects were indistinguishable from if similar effects had been added using a different program. It was also the fifteenth shape to use effects from Paint.NET, although the effects were indistinguishable from if similar effects had been added using a different program. It was also the fifteenth shape to use effects from GIMP.

Being completed in Microsoft Excel 2010 meant that I could use tools that were absent in Microsoft Excel 2007, such as applying a glowing edges texture effect. This was the eighth time I recall using Microsoft Excel to apply a glowing edges texture effect, since I no longer had access to Adobe Photoshop CS4, and thus I couldn't use it to apply a glowing edges texture effect.

However I also used a Sobel texture effect for the seventh time while using GIMP for the shape which was similar to the glowing edges texture effect from Adobe Photoshop CS4, and Microsoft Office 2010.

The Rubik's Cube was paired with the Morpho Hematite Copper and Brass Earring (GUOS65140), Kettle Weight (GUOS65137), and Pokémon Ball (GUOS65138) as a 4-Item Set on the 22nd July 2018.

On the 26th July 2018, the Rubik's Cube was included on the "The Complete Dimensional Era" full house compilation set. On the 30th July 2018, it was added to the Gothic Hall of Fame, in recognition of being one of the best shapes of the series.
