Note:
I do not own the Crash Bandicoot series. They are owned by Sony Computer Entertainment, Universal Interactive Studios, Konami, Vivendi Universal Games, Sierra Entertainment and Activision. I'm just a fan of the series. And I created this gallery.

From the 15th October to the 14th November 2016, I had been drawing my own models of Crash Bandicoot characters. For years, I have been eager to prove to myself and others that I'm capable to making pictures of Crash Bandicoot characters at a would be professional level.

Tracing is banned from these drawings, although extensive measuring is permitted, in-fact it's strongly encouraged if I want to get my drawings anywhere near as good as the models made by the developers.

All these drawings are being done using Faber Castell Watercolour Pencils and Graphite Sketch Pencils, and the occasional use of a black BiC byro pen. Microsoft Paint, Pixlr, and Fun Photo Maker were also used to polish up the scanned images.

Crash Bandicoot

  • Drawn: 3rd November 2016

My Crash Bandicoot model is an overall hybrid of the model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back by Naughty Dog, and the promotional 3-D model from Crash Bandicoot XS: The Huge Adventure, and the model from Crash Nitro Kart, both by Vicarious Visions. The silhoutte is based on that of the CNK model, except the tummy button which is based on that of the Huge Adventure model.

The colour scheme is otherwise based on that of the Cortex Strikes Back and Huge Adventure models. I added lines between each of the teeth, so that they can all be identified separately. I also made the jeans more realistic. My Crash Bandicoot model is the 17th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Doctor Neo Cortex

  • Drawn: 25th and 26th October 2016

My Doctor Neo Cortex model is an overall hybrid of the cut-scenes model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog, the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions, and the 20th Anniversary Edition Render model by CRASHARKI. The colour scheme for my Cortex model is based on the colour scheme from Warped. The silhoutte is otherwise based on that of the CNK model, except that my model of Cortex wears black boots, and black socks, instead of just black shoes.

My attempts at drawing the nose and mouth were questionable in many respects. Obviously, I had trouble choosing how I was going to draw them. I wasn't satisfied with the way Cortex's nose and mouth turned out to be honest. Once I got him scanned, I used Microsoft Paint to fix up the nose and redo the mouth. Pixlr was also used to help polish up the rough edges.

However I still wasn't satisfied with the results, so I looked up various free online photo editing sites to find something that would help me to polish this image up so that it would be fit for display. Fun Photo Maker (a.k.a. Photofunia Photo Collage Maker) fit the bill. I used it to make the image look more expressive and defined. My Cortex model is the 9th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Aku Aku

  • Drawn: 15th October 2016

My Aku Aku model is an overall hybrid of the cut-scenes model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog, and the 20th Anniversary Edition Render model by CRASHARKI. The colour scheme for my Aku Aku model is based on the colour scheme from Warped. The silhoutte is otherwise mostly based on that of the 20th Anniversary Edition Render model by CRASHARKI. My Aku Aku model is the 1st model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Coco Bandicoot

  • Drawn: 3rd November 2016

My Coco Bandicoot model is an overall hybrid of the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions, and the model from Crash Tag Team Racing by Radical Entertainment. The clothes are mostly based on that of the CTTR model. The jeans have folds on the ends like in CNK but the fabric is now a medium-dark blue, and thus darker than ever before.

They are more realistic, with back pockets, and buttons on each side. Coco's midriff is completely obscured now. She now has red lipstick, and her blue flower in her hair back, albeit in a darker shade of blue. Coco now has five fingers like in Crash Twinsanity. My Coco Bandicoot model is the 16th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Doctor N. Gin

  • Drawn: 24th October 2016

My Doctor N. Gin model is considered to be an attempt at a hybrid of the promotional model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back by Naughty Dog and the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions. The basic silhoutte is based on the model from CNK but the colour scheme, including the hairstyle, sleeves, and the holes in his outfit are based on the promotional model from Cortex Strikes Back. My Doctor N. Gin model also has five fingers instead of the usual four. My N. Gin model is the 8th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Tiny Tiger

  • Drawn: 26th October 2016

My Tiny Tiger model is considered to be an attempt at a replica of the model from Crash Twinsanity by Traveller's Tales, but with a colour scheme closer to that of the model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back by Naughty Dog. It wasn't easy trying to replicate the colour scheme of the Cortex Strikes Back model when I was also trying to replicate the same level of detail as the Twinsanity model.

I also decided to make his pants a darker shade of green. Other than that, the only real difference between my Tiny model and the one from Twinsanity is that my one has a tail. My Tiny model is the 10th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Uka Uka

  • Drawn: 29th October 2016

My Uka Uka model is an overall hybrid of the cut-scenes model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog, and the 20th Anniversary Edition Render model by CRASHARKI. The colour scheme for my Uka Uka model is based on the colour scheme from Warped. The silhoutte is otherwise mostly based on that of the 20th Anniversary Edition Render model by CRASHARKI. My Uka Uka model is the 13th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models, though he was originally going to be the 6th model.

Dingodile

  • Drawn: 21st October 2016

My Dingodile model is an overall hybrid of the promotional model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog and the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions. The silhoutte is mostly based on the Warped model, but I gave him bigger nostrils, a spikier tail, and yellow trousers with a belt like in CNK. Other than that, the only real difference between my Dingodile model and the one from Warped is that most of his fur has gotten slightly darker, while patches of his fur has gotten blonder, resulting in a more patchy texture. My Dingodile model also has five fingers instead of the usual four, and he has folds on the ends of his pants. Perhaps it's just the missing flamethrower and gas cannister which I ommitted from my drawing, but my Dingodile model seems have somewhat broader and more prominent shoulders. My Dingodile model is the 6th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Crunch Bandicoot

  • Drawn: 30th October 2016

My Crunch Bandicoot model is an overall hybrid of the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions, and the model from Crash Tag Team Racing by Radical Entertainment. The arms are mostly based on the CNK model, but the robotic parts have screws like the CTTR model. The body, pants, and shoes are mostly based on the CTTR model, but the underside of the shoes are a mixture between the CNK and CTTR models. The laces and gradients are based on the CTTR model. The abs are based on the CTTR model.

The ears, Mohawk, eyebrows, and the colour of Crunch's eyes are based on the CNK model. The cream coloured fur connects from his chest to his mouth to his nose like in the CNK one. My Crunch model is the 14th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. The laces, eyes, mouth, and certain textures were poorly drawn, due to the size of the model I drew. I intend to redo the textures that were impossible to draw with coloured pencil inside such a small amount of space. I have already redone the laces using Microsoft Paint and Pixlr.

Polar

  • Drawn: 19th October 2016

My Polar model is considered to be an attempt at a replica of the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions, from colour scheme to silhoutte. Without counting the more pencil like shading, the only real difference is the missing brainwash helmet. My Polar model is the 5th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Doctor Nefarious Tropy

  • Drawn: 6th and 7th November 2016

My Doctor Nefarious Tropy model is mostly based on the promotional model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog. But there are some added features that are based on the model from Crash Twinsanity by Traveller's Tales as well. Some differences between my model and the promotional model from Warped is that my model features leg armour and a left arm that is either robotic or wrapped in a huge metal casing. These features are based on the model from Twinsanity.

N. Tropy's feet are silver like in the Twinsanity model, but they are now the same length as they are in Warped. He also has three buttons visible on his lab coat like in Twinsanity instead of two like in Warped. My N. Tropy model has five fingers instead of the usual four. My Doctor Nefarious Tropy model is the 20th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Ripper Roo

  • Drawn: 7th November 2016

My Ripper Roo model is my attempt at a hybrid between the promotional model from Crash Bandicoot and the model from CTR: Crash Team Racing, both by Naughty Dog. The silhoutte is mostly based on the model from CTR but I made the eyes and nose more circular, as opposed to the polygonal eyes and nose from CTR, so they resemble those of the promotional Crash Bandicoot model.

The eyebrows are also based on the ones from the promotional Crash Bandicoot model. The arms are folded differently from the ones from the models that I used for inspiration. It was difficult to distinguish the arms from the rest of the body, so I drew them my own way. The left elbow came out looking bigger than the right one but I guess it's no big deal. My Ripper Roo model is the 21st model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Doctor Nitrus Brio

  • Drawn: 5th November 2016

My Doctor Nitrus Brio model is mostly based on the model from Crash Bandicoot: Mind over Mutant by Radical Entertainment in terms of it's design. However, the colour scheme is mostly based on the model from Crash Bandicoot by Naughty Dog. I messed up the eyes slightly because I forgot to make his eyes brown like in the Crash Bandicoot model. But it was only a minor issue that could be fixed with Microsoft Paint once I got him scanned.

The gloves are brown, more or less the same colour as his skin. But I tried to retain the same textures that the gloves from the Mind over Mutant model has, to further support the fact that they are still gloves. He has five fingers like the model from Crash Twinsanity by Traveller's Tales instead of four. My Doctor Nitrus Brio model is the 19th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Pura

  • Drawn: 19th October 2016

My Pura model is considered to be an attempt at a replica of the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions, but with the colour scheme of the model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog. So it is basically an attempt at a hybrid of the two models. Other than that, the only obvious difference between my Pura model and the CNK one is that my one doesn't have the brainwash helmet. My Pura model is the 4th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Fake Crash Bandicoot

  • Drawn: 8th and 9th November 2016

My Fake Crash Bandicoot model is an overall hybrid of the model from Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped by Naughty Dog, and the promotional 3-D model from Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced, and the model from Crash Nitro Kart, both by Vicarious Visions. The silhoutte is based on that of the CNK model, except the tummy button which is based on that of the N-Tranced model.

The colour scheme is otherwise based on that of the Warped and N-Tranced models. I added lines between each of the teeth, so that they can all be identified separately. I made the pants green like those of the CNK model, but in a darker shade. I also made the spots on his pants more prominent than those on the pants of the CNK model. I also made the pants more realistic.

My Fake Crash model has five fingers instead of the usual four. I was originally going to give my Fake Crash model the same colour scheme as in the CNK model, but I decided against it because I didn't want him to look too different from Crash. My Fake Crash Bandicoot model is the 22nd model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Nitros Oxide

  • Drawn: 4th November 2016

My Nitros Oxide model is mostly based on the model from Crash Twinsanity by Traveller's Tales. The nose texture is mostly based on that of the models from CTR: Crash Team Racing by Naughty Dog. The outfit seems to be a mixture between the CTR models and the Twinsanity one. The legs are mostly based on the Twinsanity model, though I did draw some inspiration from the Crash Nitro Kart model by Vicarious Visions for the feet.

The eyes' sclera is yellow like in the CTR and CNK models. The pipe on the back of Nitros Oxide's head is mostly based on the CTR models, and the mouth and teeth are mostly based on the CNK model. My Nitros Oxide model is the 18th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Papu Papu

  • Drawn: 9th November 2016

My Papu Papu model is mostly based on the model from Crash Twinsanity by Traveller's Tales in terms of it's design. However, the colour scheme is based on the model from CTR: Crash Team Racing by Naughty Dog. The toenails are still white like in the Twinsanity model, but the red marks on his arms are now brown. He also appears to have white fingernails.

The ornament in his hair has changed from being red, blue, and yellow to being brown, blue, and purple. The red and yellow patterns on Papu's loincloth have also changed to brown and purple respectively. The arm bracelets have also changed from blue to red. The yellow on Papu's necklace is now purple. My Papu Papu model is the 23rd model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Pinstripe Potoroo

  • Drawn: 28th October 2016

My Pinstripe Potoroo model is considered to be an attempt at a replica of the 20th Anniversary Render model by CRASHARKI, which is the Crash Twinsanity model by Traveller's Tales, but with the clothes being in the same red and green colour scheme as the Pinstripe models by Naughty Dog. My Pinstripe model is the 12th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models, although he was originally planned to be the 9th model.

Komodo Joe

  • Drawn: 11th November 2016

My Komodo Joe model is considered to be an attempt at a hybrid of the promotional model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, the in-game model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and the cut-scenes model from CTR: Crash Team Racing, all by Naughty Dog. I used the in-game model from Cortex Strikes Back for measuring, then I tried to add some more detail to his body shape, like in the promotional model from Cortex Strikes Back, and the cut-scenes model from CTR.

The overall colour scheme is based on the promotional model from Cortex Strikes Back. I did my best to replicate the same level of detail as in the promotional Cortex Strikes Back model for the arms, legs, and head. The eyes are orange, the eyebrows are purple, and the yellow patterns on the purple outfit are orange and yellow like in the promotional design. The sides of Komodo Joe's purple outfit have folds on the ends. He has five fingers on each of his hands instead of the usual four, and the spike on his head is now golden like in the CTR model. My Komodo Joe model is the 25th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

N. Trance

  • Drawn: 22nd, 23rd, and 28th October 2016

My N. Trance model is considered to be an attempt at a replica of the model from Crash Nitro Kart by Vicarious Visions, but with the legs being a combination of the model from CNK, the model from Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced by Vicarious Visions, and the concept artwork model from Crash Twinsanity by Traveller's Tales.

The basic colour scheme for the legs is based on the model from N-Tranced. The arms for my N. Trance model are based on those from the CNK model. My N. Trance model is the 7th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Koala Kong

  • Drawn: 27th October 2016

My Koala Kong model is considered to be an attempt at a replica of the promotional model from Crash Bash by Eurocom Entertainment Software, but with folds on the ends of his pants, spikes on his bracelets, and a tummy button which can be seen on the bit of his skin above the top of his pants and beneath the bottom of his short. Due to unsteady measuring, some parts of Kong's body appear larger than on the promotional Crash Bash model while others appear smaller. The legs are longer and the waist is higher up his body, resulting in a shorter tummy. He also appears to be grinning as opposed to smirking. My Kong model is the 11th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Komodo Moe

  • Drawn: 11th November 2016

My Komodo Moe model is mostly based on the promotional model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back by Naughty Dog. It is largely unchanged from the promotional design except the sides of his purple outfit have folds on the ends. He has five fingers on each of his hands instead of the usual four, and the spike on his head is now golden.

My Komodo Moe model is the 26th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. He is the last canon character model that I plan to create for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models, though I may create my own character models for more canon characters in the future.

Tawna Bandicoot

  • Drawn: 10th November 2016

My Tawna Bandicoot model is mostly based on the promotional prototype model from Crash Bandicoot by Naughty Dog. It is largely unchanged from the promotional prototype design, except the skirt is dark blue like her in-game model from Crash Bandicoot, she has five fingers instead of the usual four, and the bottom of her shoes are striped, like the bottom of Crash's shoes in Crash Nitro Kart. My Tawna Bandicoot originally didn't have the tail, but I subsequently drew it in, using Microsoft Paint. My Tawna Bandicoot model is the 24th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Penta Penguin

  • Drawn: 18th and 19th October 2016

My Penta Penguin model is considered to be an attempt at a hybrid of the model used for the Penguin enemies from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and the in-kart model from CTR: Crash Team Racing, both models were made by Naughty Dog. The colour scheme is mostly based on the model from CTR except the eyes are greener. The scarf is more detailed, the body is less polygonal, and the feet are more realistic.

I used this picture for some inspiration on how I was going to do my Penta model. I wasn't satisfied with the way the eyes turned out, so I redrew the eyes on the 19th October 2016, drawing them bigger than the ones I'd drawn as part of the model I drew the previous day. It took a bit of work trying to edit them in once I got the artwork scanned, but it was worth it. My Penta model is the 3rd model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Rilla Roo

  • Drawn: 31st October 2016

My Rilla Roo model is an attempt at creating a much more impressive and detailed version of the low detailed model from Crash Bash by Eurocom Entertainment Software. The body is rounder and less polygonal than the Crash Bash model. The tuft of hair on Rilla Roo's head appears in five thinner spikes instead of three thicker spikes. I used some other pictures, most of them fan art pictures such as this one, this one, and this one for inspiration as to what a more detailed model of Rilla Roo would look like.

The buckle of Rilla Roo's belt appears to be metallic gold as opposed to non-metallic gold. The arms are much more detailed, with five fingers on each hand. The hands are also more expressive and defined, though unlike the Crash Bash model, the hands have no brown fur on them. The ears are more detailed. The nose is more detailed as well with more prominent nostrils. The feet are also much more detailed, with three large toes with claws each. I looked at some pictures of real gorillas for inspiration as to how I should achieve a more detailed model of Rilla Roo. My Rilla Roo model is the 15th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.

Enrapture Keeshond

  • Drawn: 12th November 2016

My Enrapture Keeshond model is the 27th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. He is the first fanon character model that I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. This was the first time I had ever drawn his entire body. I had only drawn his head as a mugshot the other time. I made his head slightly different from the mugshot as well. His muzzle is shaped more like the muzzle of a Keeshond. Although he still doesn't look much like a real Keeshond, since he is anthropomorphic and wears a dark green lab coat.

He also has a metal right ear, a metal left arm, and a metal right leg. He is also much skinnier than a real Keeshond, although it can be perceived that the he owes some of his skinniness to his lab coat which he wouldn't have been able to wear if his body was normal Keeshond sized. Also if you look at his body, it can be speculated that his lab coat is actually too small for him, and that his body is on the verge of splitting his lab coat apart. His fur is a dark brown with orange underneath the jaw and on the back of the neck.

Loxy Fox

  • Drawn: 13th November 2016

My Loxy Fox model is the 28th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. He is the second fanon character model that I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. This was the first time I had ever drawn him, although in practice I had previously drawn a beta fanon Crash Bandicoot character of which he was based on directly. Microsoft Paint was used to redo the shoes since the original shoe laces were poorly drawn, although in practice the original textures and laces can be faintly seen underneath the improved textures, since I decided to make the improved textures semi-transparent. Pixlr was used to help polish up some of the rough edges, Fun Photo Maker was used to make the image look more expressive and defined.

Snouter Pig

  • Drawn: 14th November 2016

My Snouter Pig model is the 29th model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. He is the third and final fanon character model that I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models. This was the third time I had ever drawn him, although in practice the second time I drew him, he was under the name "The Vermicious Hog", and the first time I drew him, he looked completely different, looking just like a regular anthropomorphic pig with green eyes. This is the most detailed version of Snouter Pig that I have drawn to date.

Nitro Zaust

  • Drawn: April 2010 (on Computer using Microsoft Excel 2007)

My Nitro Zaust model was actually created in April 2010 using Microsoft Excel 2007, so technically he isn't part of my 2016 project of creating my own Crash Bandicoot character models. But seeing as he is still a fanon character that I created for Crash Bandicoot related fanon, there's no reason why he can't be included in this page.

Wumpa Fruit

  • Drawn: 16th October 2016

My Wumpa Fruit model is an overall hybrid of the model from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back by Naughty Dog, and the model from Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex by Traveller's Tales. The colour scheme for my Wumpa Fruit model is based on the colour scheme from Cortex Strikes Back. The silhoutte is otherwise based on that of the Wrath of Cortex model. My Wumpa Fruit model is the 2nd model I created for my project of making my own Crash Bandicoot character models.
