Note:
I do not own the Crash Bandicoot series. They are owned by Sony Computer Entertainment, Universal Interactive Studios, Konami, Vivendi Universal Games, Sierra Entertainment and Activision. I'm just a fan of the series. And I created this page.

Comparing my favourite Crash character models - Volume One
Comparing my favourite Crash character models - Volume Two
Comparing my favourite Crash character models - Volume Three
Comparing my favourite Crash item models
Comparing my own models of Crash characters
Comparing fan made renders of Crash characters

Below is a gallery of some of the various models of some of the Crash Bandicoot enemies, and a vertical side by side comparison between them. Note that this only covers the models that I consider worthy of inclusion. Any models that I dislike will not be included. This page is a direct follow up of Volume One, Volume Two, and Volume Three of the Comparing my favourite Crash character models trilogy. As the trilogy drew to a close, it became clear that another page was needed to cover up some of the various models of some of the Crash Bandicoot enemies.

These enemies are the Lab Assistants, Tribesmen, Fish, Monkeys, Venus Fly Traps, Spitter Plants, Crabs, Frogs, Rats, Cobras, Turtles, Lizards, Birds, Eels, Sharks, Goats, Honeybees, Polar Bears, Scarab Beetles, Armadillos, Bats, Hippos, Machine Gunners, Orca Whales, Scrubbing Bubbletrons, Spiked Saucers, Lens Probes, Spiked Shells, Crawlings, and Tikis.

These enemies appear in Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, CTR: Crash Team Racing, Crash Bandicoot XS: The Huge Adventure, Crash Twinsanity, and the Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy. Enjoy! :)

While the walruses themselves aren't harmful, they can cause problems since the arena isn't balanced, and the walruses can affect the arena balance.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Flying Fish
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
(Flying Fish)
The Flying Fish from the N. Sane Trilogy are much more detailed, expressive, and defined than their counterparts from Crash Bandicoot. Surprisingly their colouration is entirely different, being red with cream instead of orange with blue and red. Vicarious Visions created this model for the N. Sane Trilogy, a remaster of the first three Crash games.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Robot Fish

Models: Appearances: Information:
Crash Bandicoot Rolling Monkey
Crash Bandicoot
(Rolling Monkeys)
The Monkeys' original appearance. The Rolling Monkeys will attack by rolling back and forth on a set path, pause for a brief moment before rolling back into the opposite direction. Crash can easily defeat them by spinning them away, though he must avoid doing this while the monkeys are rolling or else he will be sent into the opposite direction and possibly knocked off his path.
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Cyborg Monkey
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Cyborg Monkeys)
The Cyborg Monkeys from Crash 2 mostly resemble the Rolling Monkeys from Crash 1 but they have a more cyborg like appearance, and much more detail than before. The Cyborg Monkeys jump back and forth along Crash's path, sometimes jumping over gaps or TNT Crates. Crash can defeat them by jumping or spinning them away. However, they will be more tricky to defeat since they will be jumping around a lot.
Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped Monkey
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
(Monkeys with Jars)
The Arabian Monkeys with Jars from Crash 3 bear little to no resemblance to the Monkeys in the previous games, so a model comparison is not possible. These Monkeys try to balance a set of three jars. The pile of jars will make it hard for Crash to jump over, so he first must spin or slide the monkey in order to get rid of the jars. Once Crash attacks the monkey for the first time, one jar will fall on the monkey's head, causing it to move around blindly. To dispatch of the monkey fully, Crash must attack it a second time.
Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped Projectile Throwing Monkey
Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped
(Projectile throwing Monkeys)
The Egyptian Projectile throwing Monkeys from Crash 3 bear little to no resemblance to the Monkeys in the previous games, or the Arabian Monkeys, so a model comparison is not possible. These Monkeys hide in large jars and throw projectiles that explode and paint Crash grey. Crash can dispatch them by breaking the jars they are hiding in. Once he breaks the last jar, the monkey will cower in fear and act harmless towards Crash. He can jump on the helpless monkey and earn additional Wumpa Fruits.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Rolling Monkey
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
(Rolling Monkeys)
This model is a much more expressive and defined resemblance of the original model, although in practice it looks more like the monkeys from Crash 2 with the exception of the missing robotic parts. Vicarious Visions created this model for the N. Sane Trilogy, a remaster of the first three Crash games.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Monkey with Jars
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
(Monkeys with Jars)
This model is a much more expressive and defined resemblance of the Monkeys with Jars from Crash 3. Vicarious Visions created this model for the N. Sane Trilogy, a remaster of the first three Crash games.

The Water Fly Traps from the first Crash Bandicoot game are similar in appearance to the regular Venus Fly Traps, except that they are found in the water instead of on land. They have their mouths open, hoping to swallow Crash if he stands on it's mouth for too long.
Crash 2 Venus Fly Trap
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, CTR: Crash Team Racing The Venus Fly Traps from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back mostly resemble the original ones, but they are dark purple with white spots, instead of red with no spots. The ones from Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure and Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage are similar to the ones from Crash 2 but they are a lighter purple and don't have white spots on them.
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Spitter Plant
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Spitter Plants)
There is a close relative of the Venus Fly Trap from Crash 2 which is known as the Spitter Plant. The Spitter Plants mostly resemble their purple relatives from the same game, except they are red instead of purple and they spit exploding seeds at Crash instead of trying to eat him. They cannot be defeated with a spin or slide attack due to the spikes they have guarding their lower half, but once Crash gets close enough to them, they will hide themselves around their spikes and cover their heads. Crash can then finish them off with a belly flop, or by digging underneath them and spinning them.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Small Venus Fly Trap
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
(Small Variant)
This model is a much more detailed and 3-D resemblance of the Small Venus Fly Traps from Crash Bandicoot. Without counting the extra detail, the only real difference is that the Small Venus Fly Traps now have spots, something the original Small Venus Fly Traps lacked. Vicarious Visions created this model for the N. Sane Trilogy, a remaster of the first three Crash games.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Water Fly Trap
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy

The model isn't as polygonal as the original. Vicarious Visions created this model for the N. Sane Trilogy, a remaster of the first three Crash games.

Rat Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Rats: Jungle levels)
The Rats from the Jungle levels of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. These rats emerge from the ground in the pits, and Crash Bandicoot must spin them in order to advance. One of the jungle levels is named The Pits because of this.
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Spiked Rat
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Spiked Rats)
The Spiked Rats from the Sewer levels of Crash 2 bear little to no resemblance to the rats that appear in the Jungle levels, both visually and behaviour wise. So a model comparison is not possible. These rats were taken by Doctor N. Gin and mechanically enhanced with metal bodies consisting of a face-plate with glowing eyes and a metal frame going around their bodies. N. Gin also installed spikes on the sides of the rats to help them withstand a fight with Crash. However, the top of the rat is exposed, leaving a place for the player to jump onto and eliminate the spike rat for good.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Spiked Rat
Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy
(Spiked Rats)
This model is a much more detailed and 3-D resemblance of the Spiked Rats model from Cortex Strikes Back. Vicarious Visions created this model for the N. Sane Trilogy, a remaster of the first three Crash games.

Crash Bandicoot The Turtles' original design.
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Spiked Cyborg Turtle
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Spiked Cyborg Turtles)
The Spiked Cyborg Turtles from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back differ greatly from the regular spotted turtles from Crash Bandicoot. The shells are a brownish green colour with a completely different texture from the shells of the spotted turtles. The shells now have spikes on the sides eliminating the possibility of using spin or slide attacks, but they can still be flipped over by jumping on their backs, and they can then be spun away afterwards. The shape of the Spiked Cyborg Turtles are much higher in polygons than on the spotted turtles. Doctor N. Gin's handiwork on the Crash 2 turtles is evident throughout the game. For one thing, the left side of the Spiked Cyborg Turtles have a terminator eye, and the left side of the faces are encased in metal.
Crash 2 Cyborg Razor Turtle
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Cyborg Razor Turtles)
Visually, the Cyborg Razor Turtles from Cortex Strikes Back are similar in appearance to the Spiked Cyborg Turtles from the same game. But the shells are greener in colour, and have running buzz saws on the top instead of spikes on the sides. The running buzz saws on the shells render jumping on the turtles out of the question, though unlike the Spiked Cyborg Turtles, they can be spun away, or slided into like the spotted turtles from the previous game.
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Turtle

(Cyborg Vultures)
The Cyborg Vultures from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back differ significantly from the vultures from Crash Bandicoot. (Ostriches)
The Ostriches from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. Being a totally different type of bird, the Ostriches bear little to no resemblance to the Vultures, both visually and behaviour wise. Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Angry Tiki
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Angry Tikis)
The Angry Side of a Tiki from Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. When a tiki is encountered, it just stands there like a normal statue. But when Crash Bandicoot gets closer, it will start moving around.
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Happy Tiki
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
(Happy Tikis)
The Happy Side of a Tiki from Crash 2 closely resembles the angry side in appearance, except it has a cheerful expression instead of an angry expression. The eyes are bigger, and the face is green instead of red.
Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex Strikes Back Fire Breathing Tiki
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicooot Purple: Ripto's Rampage
(Fire Breathing Tikis)
The Fire Breathing Tikis from Crash 2 have no connection to the tikis found in the mountain levels of the game. They bear little to no resemblance to the tikis from the mountain levels, both visually and behaviour wise. So a model comparison is not possible. The fire breathing tikis appear as generic hazards in the ruins levels, where they will constantly breathe fire and stop for several seconds. They also can be found in twos swiveling around while breathing fire. They seem to take on the appearance of gorilla heads.
